NEW TO YOGA?

NEW TO YOGA?

No worries!

Here are some tips to get you started!

TRY IT OUT!

Try different styles and different instructors.Take a look at our list of the different styles of yoga we offer and see what looks appealing to you.

Beginners are welcome to all classes. Please let your instructor know you are new and they will be happy to help with modifications to best suit your needs.

NO GEAR? NO PROBLEM!

A mat is good to have but you can just show up and use any of our equipment. We offer an array of gear for your convenience; mats, block, bolsters, straps, etc. Water is always a good idea, but we have you covered there too.

Always free to bring an attitude of gratitude and a willingness to honor your body and trust yourself!

WANT RESULTS?

Consistency in your practice will provide faster results. Yoga is amazing for some may reasons. A minimum of one to two hours a week is suggested to start and experience the benefits of the practice.

WE ARE NOT A HOT STUDIO

The studio is normally 68-70 degrees. Generally, you generate internal heat in most classes, but we are not a "HOT" yoga studio.

LIMITED FLEXIBILITY?

You are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people believe that great flexibility is needed to begin yoga, but it's quite the opposite. Come as you are and you will find that yoga practice will help you become more flexible.

LIGHT SNACK & WATER

We recommend that you eat very little 2 hours prior to your visit. Fruits, veggies or high protein snacks are great options. Get hydrated and plan meals ahead to have a better energy for your practice!

COMFORTABLE CLOTHING & LAYERS

Since we are not a hot yoga studio layers are key. Breathable and stretchable fabrics are ideal. Please, NO SHOES on the studio floor – We suggest wearing shoes that are easy to slip on and off. Being barefoot for class is perfect!

BE KIND TO YOURSELF

Your practice will never be perfect nor is it meant to be. Let your practice be unique while discovering what YOU CAN DO. Honor wherever you are everyday. Look for reasons to show up instead of give up on your yoga journey and practice.

BE TIMELY

Plan to arrive ten to fifteen minutes prior to class time. We can show you around the studio, answer any questions you may have or take time to set up your mat and settle in.

STORAGE

We have cubbies available to store your belongings in the lobby area and in the back room.

UPON ENTERING THE STUDIO

Please honor class time. Coming late and leaving early is distracting to others, If you must exit during class, do so quietly. Practice solitude upon entering the studio. Quieting your mind before class will support a healing space to all that enter. This is your dance to escape from the daily demands and distractions of life. next stop, relaxation station!

PROPS

We have props for any medications and added comfort. We have mats, straps, blocks, bolsters and blankets, essential oils diffused and applied (depending on your instructor) for you to use during your class.
