YOGA 101

 YOGA FUNDAMENTALS

A fun energized class for all levels, beginners to experienced yogis alike. This class units breath (pranayama) with pose (asana) and spirit (nature) as foundation and exploring the science behind yoga.

SLOW FLOW

RELAXING FLOWING CLASS

Is a fun gentle flowing class going at a slower pace but still offers a nice workout for the body with breath work and a relaxing beginning and ending to the class. Giving the mind that connection with the body, and Always remembering to be good to yourself.

RESTORATIVE

RELAXATION STATION

Restorative Yoga is the practice of asanas, each held for longer than in conventional yoga as exercise classes, often with the support of props such as folded blankets, to relax the body, reduce stress, and often to prepare for pranayama.

STRENGTH & BALANCE

CONNECTION TO CORE

Give yourself time to focus on the details of alignment and build heat through muscle activation. The mental focus used to achieve and stay in alignment combined with flowing transitions between poses makes this class a moving meditation revitalizing the mind and body.

YIN

DEEP CONNECTIVE TISSUE RELEASE

Enjoy gentle pranayama combined with seated postures that support deep connective tissue release, conscious relaxation and practicing mindfulness. Make space in your mind and body to feel more peaceful. 

KARUNA HATHA

COMPASSION FOR SELF

Karuna Hatha Yoga is a blend of Iyengar, yin, anusara, flow and kundalini styles, tailored for beginning and intermediate yogis.  Karuna is Sanskrit for “compassion,” and this style has a strong emphasis on listening to one’s body and never holding postures in a way that causes needless discomfort. It also emphasizes mindfulness techniques and Pantanjali’s 8 Limbs teachings.

KUNDALINI

FLOWING CORE WORK & MEDITATIVE

Kundalini yoga, the yoga of awareness, is an ancient healing practice that connects you to the divine energy within yourself. In each person is a potential, an untapped energy that rests coiled at the base of the spine. Through asana ( posture), pranayama (breath), mantra (chanting), mudra (hand position) and meditation, this energy is awakened and moves up through the energy channels opening each of the seven chakras to increase ones expansiveness and self awareness. Kundalini yoga makes the body stronger and more energetic, provides connection, higher consciousness and it’s fun.

HATHA

TRADITIONAL CLASS

Hatha yoga focuses on posture and breathing techniques, traditionally to channel vital energy source. In Sanskrit, Hatha translates to force. The practice involves breath, body, and mind, and classes are usually  breathing, yoga poses and meditation.

FLOW

HEAT BUILDING & STRENGTHENING

Explore strong and gentle postures depending on the needs and energy of the class. Discover the relationship with your core and the effect it has on your posture which begins at your feet. Every class will offer something different. 

VINYASA

CARDIO & HEAT BUILDING

Build heat as you focus on consistent fluid movement. Your instructor will encourage you to work hard and offers a very authentic practice. Advanced poses and modifications offered. A fitness based class ending with a nice cool down while finding balance within.
